Online Banking and Mobile App Profile Deletion Request

The Google Play Store and Apple App Store require The Hometown Savings Bank to provide our customers with the ability to request the removal of their current Online Banking and Mobile Banking app profiles..  

The Google Play Store and Apple App Store require The Hometown Savings Bank to provide our customers with the ability to request the removal of their current Online Banking and Mobile Banking app profiles.. 

Please include in the subject line of your email: "Delete My Online Banking and Mobile Banking Profile." 
In the body of the email, please provide the following information: 

  • Your first and last name
  • Your best contact phone number

As a reminder, please do not put non-public information in an email to the bank.  Examples of non-public information would be social security number, account number, or other private information.  Please call us at 812-234-4864 if you need to share your non-public information. 

Upon receiving this request, a member of the eBranch Customer Engagement Center will contact you by phone within two business days to confirm the request. Your request will not be processed until we speak with you by phone. 

Please note the following upon successful deletion of your account: 

  • You will no longer be able to access Online Banking, Mobile Banking, or any additional service available through Online Banking and Mobile Banking.  Please download any documents or data prior to requesting the deletion of your account. 
  • You will no longer be able to access electronic copies of statements.  Any account you have enrolled in eStatements will be changed to receive paper statements.
  • Any future scheduled or recurring internal transfers or loan payments with Online Banking will not be processed.
  • Any future scheduled or recurring transfers between The Hometown Savings Bank and another financial institution you have created will not process.
  • Any future scheduled or recurring Bill Payments you have set up will not be processed.
  • Any account alerts you have established will be stopped. 
  • Any debit card alerts or controls in place through Card Control will be removed and discontinued. 

Once confirmed, The Hometown Saving Bank will promptly delete Online Banking and Mobile App profiles held in our systems.  The data will no longer be available to you.  In some instances, the data may reside with our third-party vendor as required for record retention requirements. Please review our Online Banking Privacy Policy for additional information on record retention. 

 All deposit accounts or loan accounts you are associated with will remain open and active.  Deleting your Online Banking and Mobile App profile does not satisfy any debt or obligation to pay with The Hometown Savings Bank.  This is used solely for deleting your Online Banking and Mobile Banking profiles.
